Roots is a Canadian bi-monthly history & lifestyle culture magazine that focuses on hair and how it’s become a key tool for self–identification, communication, lifestyle and religious practices.
The elements of the brand provided a sleek, elevated appearance using line work to call back to the texture of hair. Keeping a colour palette of black, white, and brown, to invoke the seriousness of the topics covered in the magazine. Further also supporting the colourful spreads for the ranging articles.
Throughout the magazine photography and illustrations were produced to support the curated articles.
